Rugged Universal Cage
THE UNIVERSAL CAGE
The Rugged Universal Cage allows silencers with the 1.375x24 mounting pitch to easily attach to pistols and subguns. The booster assembly is designed for the Rugged Alaskan360, but is compatible with many more silencers. For ease of use, the Universal Cage comes with the R.U.M. multi-tool for easy installation and maintenance.
The Universal Cage is a unique name, but can also be referred to as a "Booster Housing" or "Pistol Assembly" (minus the piston itself.) Its purpose is to house and allow operation for a Rugged Piston, ensuring proper cycling on Browning action pistols. The needed piston will depend on the tread pitch of the host firearm.
Additionally, it allows the Alaskan360 and many other suppressors to use Rugged's accessories originally designed for the Obsidian lineup. Direct thread mounts, fixed barrel spacers, and even 3-Lug systems can now be used in silencers previously designed for different accessories.
